Morgan’s Rating:

THIS! This is the easiest five star book I’ve ever tried to rate! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Normally I don’t review the books I read on Kindle but I had to jump in for this bad boy. I picked up Verity on the recommendation of my friend Courtney, who told me it was pretty good. I wanted a quick read for a girls’ weekend in the mountains and when I saw it was on Kindle unlimited, I grabbed it and ran out the door. When I first started it, I was a little worried; the first chapters seemed a little blah… and then the hits started coming.
Lowen is an author who lives a blah life until she is approached by the husband of Verity Crawford, established and renowned author, to complete a series that Verity is currently unable to finish due to injury. Although hesitant at first, Lowen agrees to be the co-author and reluctantly heads to the Crawford home to sort through Verity’s notes. What she discovers instead is an unpublished autobiography with years worth of chilling discoveries and admissions that Verity never wanted anyone to see. Lowen is determined to protect grieving husband and father, Jeremy, until the two start to realize there might be more to their connection than friendship and Lowen starts to wonder how presenting the autobiography might benefit her. But something is amiss in the Crawford home….
I was shaking when I finished this book. I yelled at it a few times. I really can’t say much without revealing all the hidden secrets, but there are so many twists and turns that even when you think you know where the plot is going, you’re wrong. And it gets DARK dark at some points. Verity is going to haunt me for a long time and I’m desperately trying to find a book that affects me the same way!
I hope y’all give it a chance and let me know what you think! I HIGHLY recommend!!!

Wow! What a strong review. Right now I find it hard to delve into a dark read but I’ll keep this in mind.
